River levels in Wash Dyke have fallen below levels of concern following Sunday's heavy rainfall. As there remains a risk of further heavy, thundery showers this evening/overnight, any further rain could cause the river to rise rapidly again. We will continue to monitor the situation. This flood alert remains in place as heavy rain and thunderstorms are continuing to affect parts of West Yorkshire and have caused localised flooding issues. The rain should start to die out through the late evening and overnight into tomorrow, Tuesday 7 May 2024, with river levels returning to normal. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
